March 2009:  Trends in Higher Education Learning Environment Design. Join Steelcase designers for an inside look into the latest case studies and innovative design trends in the higher education market.  See what these learning environments have evolved into and how technology, life styles, student psychology and faculty teaching styles have altered the college or university classroom.   At colleges and universities today a lot of things have changed, and a lot has stayed the same. Students today have very different expectations about what their learning experience and campus life should be about. Teaching styles are different. Technology is embedded everywhere. Yet, there are many classrooms and other environments that look basically the way they did decades ago - we’ve leaned that teaching and learning styles are as diverse as the people you see on campus, which means spaces need to be diverse too. We’d like to share some of our ideas with you so that you are better prepared for your next pursuit or presentation. Cost:  $75.00 per person
